Please make sure that the gearbox is filled with correct amount of oil, as this is vital to performance of gearbox. Also the gearbox must have an adequate breathing system to ensure internal air pressure is controlled.

4 cylinder:

Up to 1987...............1.9ltrs (3.3 pints)
From 1987...............1.25ltrs (2.2 pints)
V6 except 4x4 models........1.9ltrs (3.3 pints)
4x4 models ..............1.25ltrs (2.2 pints)

A further 0.8ltrs more than manufacturers capacities can be added to our straight cut gear kits.

Please Note: If the gearbox is over filled, the oil will not be removed from the gearbox in operation until the right level is found it will remove the overfill and more leaving the gearbox low on oil.
